Laptop is not starting windows

Laptop is not starting windows. A sound from motherboard is coming. Screen is black. What can I do?

If its damaged, and you want to try to repair yourself, then you'll have to go through the troubleshooting process. Unfortunately, your description of the problem isn't one that means any specific component has failed.

Is the sound you hear screaching like from the fan? Or grinding like from the hard drive?

can you access the bios by presing f12 or f2 etc?
