Pavilion zv6000 notebook ram installation

Hi

I am a complete newbie to all this and this is probs going to sound v stupid...but here goes..

i have bought some ram to boost my laptops mempory a bit as it getting a bit pathetic...

the laptop's meant to have 2 slots for ram but i can only find one..the original with the original memory in..this is underneath the leptop where u would expect to find it..however there is no other slot that i can see..i dont know if i am being completely stupid but can anyone help??

i know it is the right type of ram as have tested it in the new slot but how to have both going at once??? i cant seem to find the other slot

Hi bek!

Seems to me that you must read the manual, to see where exacly your original (taken) ram slot is located. Usually it is on the other side of the laptop in the bottom. Take the lid off (if needed take out the bolts holding it) and there it must be.

P.s. Adding devices to the laptop will decrease your battery life
