Big problem. No Boot, beep code!

Expand Post »
Opened up my pc on sunday night to check for space for some upgrades i wanted to purchase this week. Put it back together and thought it was fine. Went to boot it up yesterday and all i got was a beep code! No signal to monitor, just a continuous beep around a second in length and a second apart.
After freaking out for a while, i found some info on the net about what beep codes mean. Apparantly mines a memory error.

Thinking i may have messed up my ram, i borrowed some more off my friend and tried it. Still nothing.

Anyway after trying alot of things like resetting CMOS, try starting up with bare essentials and remove everything and reseat it, i still have the same problem.

I have a asus A7V8X-X mobo, and the ram i am using is Crucial 256Mb DDR 333MHz.

I'm pretty stressed out about it at the moment so if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

James
