Its on and off......

Hi guys, this computer is really driving me crazy. Its a Compaq machine that has been doing well for sometime now. But recently it went crazy! It goes off whenever it wants to! Sometimes it goes off shortly after booting, and severaly Im forced to reboot again and again. I've upgraded its RAM but still no change. Its other hardware components havent been tempered with at all. What do i do?

There are several things that could cause this to happen, one of the most common on computers that have been around for a while is overheating caused by dust and pet fur decreasing air circulation. If you have added RAM then you know how to get inside the case, take a can of air and blow it out. Check the intake openings to be sure that they aren't blocked.
