i apologize. i used the wording wrong. were the power lead runs into were the modem and sound is on the motherboard. when i plug it in it the power will not turn on. its a 478 pin mother board, c2057 2.8 ghz cpu, dell optiplex minitower. the power plug is right next to the apg video card plug slot.
does this mean when you plug in the power supply 20\24 pin connector to the motherboard the computer will not turn on/start up .if yes then the power supply maybe be bad .
