64-bit CPUs

Expand Post »
Am planning to buy Dell Vostro 1500, which has Intel Core 2 Duo (1.6mhz, 2MB Cache, 800 mhz FSB)

Its a 64-bit processor. Will there be any compatibility problems with any sofware? I have some really old software ( from 1994). I want to know if drivers will work (Read in wikipedia that there are problems with drivers?)

Re: 64-bit CPUs

technically the core 2 duo is not 64-bit, although it's capable of executing 64-bit tasks. You should be ok.
