ram problem

I have a gigabyte motherboard that can take ram(DDR1 266/333/400(pc2100/2700/3200) and c.l 2,5.I have a 512(DDR1 400 pc2700 c.l 2,5)
My question is can i put a ram from the same company 1Gb(DDR1 400 pc3200 c.l 2,5)

generally yes, but the system will run at the lowest speed allowed by your modules (so at the speed of the slowest module) and you may have to enforce that through a BIOS setting for it to work at all.

if your RAM follows the specs of your motherboard, then there will be no problem.. it will be compatible..
