sounds slow, Help!!

All my sounds coming from my computer are very slow, all my songs and game sounds are slow. its windows xp , e machine

Not much info to go on here...

Have there been any changes in hardware...

Are you running the usual ad-ware/spyware/virus protection?

If you added or changed hardware is it sharing an interupt...?

You may want to check your audio hardware acceleration. Go into control panel, sounds and audio devices, go down where it says speaker settings, click advanced... another window should pop up, click on performance and there it is... make sure it's set to 'Full'.
