I Have No Sound What So Ever On My Computer!

Look I Have No Sound On My Computer At All I Would Like To Have Sound.could Some One Please Help Me With This Mater.the Name Of My Sound Device Is Sound Pro And I Tried To Down Load A Device To Get It Up And On But It Did Not Work.please Somebody Help Me Wuth Step By Step Of What To Do And I Have Speakers Connected To My Computer.please Help!!!!!!!!

Hi, need a bit more info to try and be of any help, A full system spec would be best

Brand/model name and number of the card, Is it an onboard device or expansion card? are you using MS Windows(xp/2000/me) as much info as you can give

My Sound Device Goes By The Name Of Soundproht1869v+e1l269808 And I Went To Driverguide.com To Try To Download The Device But It Not Work So If You Can Be Of Any Assistance Please Help!thanks Very Much.AND ITS WINDOWS98+

Hi, first thing I would suggest is go to Device Manager (Settings-control panel-system-hardware-device manager) and check to see if your soundpro is listed and if it is, it might be highlighted with a yellow exclamation mark. I'm not great with windows98 but try that and post the results

Try driverguide.com and look for the drivers for your sound card.... Also have a look in control panel/device manager and look at the audio devices to see iif winows recognises the problem.. if there is ay problems with your audio devies they will have either little yellow exclamation mark or even a red cirlcle if they are disbaled.. if u double clickon them it will tell you there status.

THERE IS NO SOUND WHATEVER..... I GET A MESSAGE THAT SOMETHING ELSE IS RUNNING.. SOMETHING ELSE IS USING THE SOUND DEVICE....... BILL

Sorry crock, just saw your original post, are you connected to the internet via broadband or are you using the modem via a phone line? 5150 cool number, code for the criminally insane :-) I'll go have a look at the manual on the dell site :-)
