Mic won't work on newly installed Soundblaster sound card

Hi

have just installed an Audigy 2 sbo 240 sound card but can't get the mic input to work. Have tried all the settings in the control panel, mic is up, selected, etc but no joy.

I'm running XP

Any help much appreciated
