USB Ethernet card stops responding!!

Hi!!

I recently brought a USB 10/100 ethernet card. It connects fine but stops responding after two minutes or so . What could be wrong ?

Do you have any other USB devices plugged in? What kind of system is this? What OS are we running? Are the drivers OEM, or is the device native to Windows?

My laptop has only one USB port ,I think , USB 1.0 . I am on Win 2000 Pro. Drivers are not OEM as device was bought separately.
