Ethernet Controller driver ??

i had to reinstall XP after messing up with installing ubuntu...after reinstalling the ethernet controller driver is missing and i dont know the ethernet card manufacturers name or the name of the card so i cant find any drivers for it..

Several things.

1) Please don't bump your thread :(

2) Is your computer a Dell Dimension 8100? If so, the driver should be on the reinstallation CD.

I know that those are not for the same problem as yours, but theyre having problems with the same driver itself.
