USB slot broken

Expand Post »
Hey folks,

Im on a Dell 600m laptop with 2 usb slots in the back. The upper slot's plastic bit broke. Its a little black chip that just snapped one day and came off.

Is there a way I can fix it or should I try and replace it?

Re: USB slot broken

yeah theres 2 ways you can resolve this problem:

1. you can bring your laptop/desktop to a local computer dealership or repair consultant.

2. you can either buy a new motherboard ( as in the usb sub section)

3. take tweezers and pull carefully the black/white piece out.

i ran into that problem at one point and resolved it with step 3.

treat this help as a bar of gold.
