no sound creative

have got a creative labs sound card installed, loaded drivers but still no sound when i go to souds in c/panel the volume part is greyed out can anyone help

have you tried checking the drivers are working ok??

yes have got drivers on cd but it gets so far and then goes to a blue screen

have sorted it out now just got latest drivers from creative, thanks for help.
