80 GB IDE HDD showing only 34Gb

Hi
I bought 80 gb IDE HD for celeron PC as secondary HD When i installed the hd it suppose to show the full volume of 80 gb but it was showing only 34gb. I thought this celeron PC may not support such big HD So I tried the same HD on Core 2 Duo PC But there also it is showing 34 Gb pls tell me how do i solve this problem

Has either drive undergone a FDISK, FORMAT?

Check to ensure size limit jumper is not installed.

does it show the correct size in the BIOS. if yo got a cd with the drive use it to set up the drive to run an operating system

Dear Friend
In the bios setting also showing 34 Gb is there jumper setting ?
This is Seagate 80 GB HD

Did you check for a size limit jumper? Here are Seagate jumper settings.
