Cd Writer

I have been using my CD Writer with no problem but today when I put in my disc, it does not read. When I scan the D drive, it gave me a message as

"The drive is not accessible. The drive is locked by a disk utility. Scan aggain when disk is no longer locked."

Can someone help and advise what I should do.

Does the problem persist when you shut down and then restart?

What Disk utility software do you have installed? Burning software, disk utilities etc........

I was watching a VCD and I took it out half way and accidentally reset the system
