Hdd In External Hdd Mobile Not Detected By The System
I was using using external hdd mobile rack as storage. The rack was connected to the computer via HDD to USB adapter with external power supply. It worked fine for some time. Suddely, computer stopped detecting the hdd although it could detect something called 'storage device'. A number of attemps failed. I am using Window XP as OS. Even under Dsk Management the hdd in the external hdd mobile rack is not detected. Can anyone guide me how to revive the external hdd.
Connect HDD directly to computer (IDE,SATA), if disk is functonal, the rack is dead.
Try to connect some other USB device in USB port, such as USB stick. If that doesn't work, then you have a problem with USB Controler (Mainboard part)
