Installing 2nd SATA hard drive, but it won't let me!

Expand Post »
Hi i have bought a 2nd SATA hard drive, but it wont work as both my SATAs want to be master, which i thought you could do with SATAs anyway. However, Windows just wont load with them both installed, it doesnt like having 2 masters.

Any ideas?

My PC spec is as follows (is new and will be upgraded with performance stuff asap)
Pentium 4 505 2.66ghz
IntelĀ® D915GAG (Augsburg) Mainboard
1.5gb DDR memory

Cant think of anything else that really matters...

There's no such thing as "Master" drives in SATA nomenclature. What errors are you getting with your setup? Additionally, are you wanting to install on one drive, and use the other as a second drive, or are you wanting to run a RAID system?
