I have just tried to put my ide slave from my old PC into my new one. I plugged in the ide cable to the motherboard and the drive and connected the power plug. The master drive is a sata. The BIOS didn't auto recognize the new drive. can you help please
silly me - after browsing around other threads on a similar subject, I found I was connecting the ide master plug to the slave drive. After correcting this, it worked ok.
