How do i mount free disk space on HD to microsoft XP without having to reformat

i was dual booting linux and windows XP until recently when linux (fedora Core) didnt have any purpose to serve anymore. i deleted linux off of my hard drive, leaving only the XP partition, i now have 39gigs free and cant figure out how to give it to the XP partition without reformatting my hard drive and reinstalling XP and everything else. help anyone?

Tools like partition magic can do the job but carry a risk factor as well.

I would just reformat the unused space and make it a D drive.

You can just Fdisk it then Format it....

I'd use the built-in Windows XP tools personally - you're not limited to FAT32 that way. ;)

You can create a new partition in the unused space using Disk Management (Control Panel->Admin Tools->Computer Management->Disk Management).
