cant install win 98 on second hd

Hi, I'm running win xp on C: 40 Gig.[master] I've installed second formatted hd E: 20Gig[slave].Problem is i can't get into E: to install win98 se. I have a boot disk and installation cd.Could someone please help. thank-you

Hi dmscott1,
Did you format HD E: using Win XP ?
If so did you format NTFS ?
If so.. you need to re-format HD E: using FAT 32 format &
set up a "dual boot" system using a "shell". Win 98 only uses FAT 32 format..not NTFS format.

If the stuff advised by RGPHNX don't work yoiu can Try using Virtual Machine a program that allows you to run a guest operating system on a machine that is already running.

This is correct bcoz win98 cannot read NTFS only FAT and FAT32, and b4 you install 98 take out the 40 gig and leave the on and just install 98 and format using FAT32
