CD Drive

I used a paper clip and poked the hole and i got my cd out, but now it's not responding . Do I have to take it out and do something to it to make it work again??

If you're up to the task, you can pop open the case and check the connections to the CD drive (wide IDE cable, power cable and maybe a thin CD audio cable). You could also try the drive in another PC.

If you have no luck in bringing back to life, then it's time for a new one. Perhaps a DVD burner, considering how cheap they are nowadays?

I guess i should "Shut down" my computer instead of restarting it because now it works today :eek:
It was good thing i didn't have to take it out cause i tryed but screwdriver didnt turn :-|
