CD Drive

I used a paper clip and poked the hole and i got my cd out, but now it's not responding :sad: . Do I have to take it out and do something to it to make it work again?? :confused:

If you're up to the task, you can pop open the case and check the connections to the CD drive (wide IDE cable, power cable and maybe a thin CD audio cable). You could also try the drive in another PC.

If you have no luck in bringing back to life, then it's time for a new one. Perhaps a DVD burner, considering how cheap they are nowadays?

I guess i should "Shut down" my computer instead of restarting it because now it works today :eek:
It was good thing i didn't have to take it out cause i tryed but screwdriver didnt turn :-|
