Greetings To ALL The Smart Ones
Thank you for making me welcome. I am chazcast, did a Google search and found you here because I have a problem and a question. I have a Compaq Presario 2100, when I start it the screen is black and a message reads: “Error loading operating system_” I can’t get it to do anything? I can get it out of this mode and how? Please help!

when you boot the machine, there will be a black screen that gives you the option of pressing the F12 key. That will take you to the system recovery.
You DON'T want to recover...what you want is the system diagnostics...I don't have a Compaq so I don't know what this looks like exactly...however, you want to run the memory and hard disk diagnostics and that might help you narrow down what the problem is.
