I have a acer laptop, which opperating system is vista home. It was running well for a while, but then would not shut down. I brought the laptop of a friend which was brand new when i got it still in it's packaging. I have had t for 6 weeks and it was running well untill a week ago when it would not shut down, i had to push the button to turn it off, but then would not start up goes thro to the windows logo sign then nothing.
I have tried to format and wont let me do it, also tried to go into safe mode still wont allow me to do that.
But i did manage to do a system check and it came back fatal error and has to be closed down, any answers plz. Is it the hard drive?
