computer wont fully load

I have a gateway computer and when i turn it on it makes the regular noises, the cdrom drive has power, the keyboard lights up, but the monitor doesnt turn on. i tried 2 other working monitors and they both didnt work. Could it be my video card? Any help would be great. thanks
