I have 3 hard disks in my computer. All the 3 were working perfectly. Lately I have installed Windows 7. In the beginning everything was fine but later, one of the hard disks was reported to have problems. Now I have reinstalled Windows XP and the problem persists. Under ‘Computer Management,’ Disk 0, Disk 1, and Disk 3 are listed (No Disk 2). Disk 0 and Disk 1 are shown as ‘on line’, but Disk 3 as ‘Removable’ and ‘No media’. Wondering why there isn’t Disk 2 and why Disk 3 is removable. Retrieving data from the missing disk is vital. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
