i have a toshiba equium m40x laptop that up till today was working fine but now when i push the power button it does not boot (not even into post) the power supply is connecting fine all lights are on the power button lights up blue but that is as far as it gets.
your help in this would be gratefully appreciated

There may have been a current peak :(
You could try to remove the battery, put it back and try to turn it on.
If that doesn't help remove your battery and HDD (unplug your power cord firs). Sometimes this helps..
