Helo, New to this

I have a Faulty Laptop Sony Vaio VGN-FE21S - it seems some dope tried to update the BIOS but with the wrong firmware.
The machine lights up as if to boot but nothing appears on the screen, is there a way of reinstalling the factory BIOS via resets or USB/CD method.
