Got a compaq 700 with athalon 4 1.4 ghz. One night last week it just started rebooting over and over again. Out of frustration I reinstalled windows xp (took 8 hours) and got it to work..sort of. Now it takes 15 minutes for the computer to start up and load windows when I turn it on. It is now unusable. For example, when I open the task manager (takes at least a minute to open) it show the cpu running at 100% all the time. Any ideas on what the problem could be?
