monitor stays black whenever I switch users

I have an Acer monitor and Win 7 PC. Whenever I Log off, Switch User and then try to Log back on or another user tries to logon the screen stays black, but the monitor blue light is on. After several attemps the screen finally come on.

Have you tried pressing keyboard keys or moving the mouse around?
