My gateway laptop turns on and wont boot

Hello,

This is about like saying "My car won't start." It tells us nothing about what happens when you try to start the computer.

Does it start to post?
Do you see any messages on the screen?
What lights come on on the laptop?
what happens if you plug it into an external monitor?
Are there any erors?
