Help - DNS Error/Page cannot be displayed

I can only get a couple of websites nowadays, and the rest just come up with 'page cannot be displayed' or 'DNS error'.
I think it might be because I've been fiddling around with my IP thingy in network connections - how do I reset it?!
Also, do you think it is that? Or is it something else? Please help me!!

Try to ping the websites, if you are getting a reply it may not be a DNS error and incase you don't get a reply call your ISP and ask their preimary and secondary DNS addresses and configure them in your Local Area Connection. The TCP/IP settings can be set to obtain an ip address and a DNS address automatically. In your local area connection properties if you have limited/no connectivity option checked then it may caus this trouble too and check your firewall settings too.
