lost all data

When I logged on to my computer today, I had lost all of my documents, my email accounts, all email, many downloaded programs/files. I've started in safe mode, but nothing helps. I rebooted before I learned I could have restarted in last configuation, and not my last configuration is my new one. I don't have a credit to buy a restoration program. What can I do? I'm in Windows 2000 Professional, SP 4

Do you know of any Virus history on ur machine?
Very rare that you just loose loads of stuff......
Have you got a restore program?
Such as Norton GoBack installed, then you can revert ur drive back to a state it was yesterday.
Otherwise, go to a Computer tech shop, and they way be able to recover the lost data from your HDD.
