eMachine T6420 dead

My T 6420 eMachine suddenly developed a problem with the mouse and keyboard not working, then it was hard to turn off, now it is completely dead. The Geek Squad said it is the mother board but I have no power, no lights no noises nothing. Before investing in new mother board could it be a power switch and/or power supply issue?

trust me the geek squad is right, the mobo is gone, take that power supply and test in another comp, it will still work. i am telling you this from experience, i have 2 at home tha the mobo went kaput, those machines are the worst.
