Laptop docking station

Expand Post »
I am trying to find out how to setup my laptop to act as a desktop when I am at home (ie regular keyboard, monitor, and mouse) for comfort. I can't find a docking station for my particular laptop. I don't know much about docking stations ( Duhh) but there is a slot on this laptop that is similar to a slot on a Compaq Presario laptop that I have used where a card was inserted to connect it to a docking station. Is there a generic docking station that will work with all laptops or is there another way of setting up my laptop so that it is like a desktop when I am home? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW this is the system I have

Toshiba Satellite A25 S3072
Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz
MS Windows XP Home
512 MB DDR SDRAM
60 GB EIDE HD

If you need any additional info let me know.

Thanks again

Re: Laptop docking station

Hey,

Well i know that they have generic docking stations that will use a USB port. I have never used one but i have seen them. Might want to check them out.
