Re: Sony PCV-RX series power supplies

I'm just now looking to replace a power supply for a Sony PV-R526DS. The problem reported was shutdown without warning. I ran the machine for four days and indeed it did shutdown without warning on day four.

The power supply in this PC is marked Delta Electronics DPS-150BB. I have had no luck finding a direct replacement so far.

I'll post when I find one.

Have you tried calling Sony Spare parts? I know most OEMs offer a spare parts department; if you call them, they might be able to give you the exact part number.

Finally found a supplier in Florida using the Sony part number (1-468-417-12) for a refurbed power supply for $90 plus $12 shipping. As of today there are a number in stock.

Sure, the supplier is Lucas Seven Inc., http://www.l7inc.us

I did not order one yet as my problem is still not that serious.

Let us know how you make out. Good luck.

um, no, not that site... i don't trust any sites that play music and advertise that they have the "best products online" and use a template for their site.
Looks like a site run out of a 13 yr old's basement..

L7 quoted me $120 + 12 shipping for refurbished. Not really a good deal if you can get a new one for 147 from Sony.

Yup, you're right, at that price I'd order from Sony.
