Blinking blue light at power cord

Short story, glass of beam & coke was dropped on my hp 2500. dried for a week. Just get the blue light. Any thoughts would be grateful!

looks like your board has been corroded..even though if it still under warranty it will be void already...if you know how to turn it apart disassemble then check whether your device could still be saved.

I have taken it apart. I did not see very much residue from the drink on boards or bottom plates of the laptop. co-workers are saying most likely the mother board is toast. Sound about right?
