Compaq presario 2100

Expand Post »
Hello all,

Now i have seen a couple of posts regarding this issue but i was hoping somone would be able to help me on this ... what seems to be the problem on my case is that i have replaced the power plug on the motherboard. i removed the power module on the mother board and replaced it with another wire essentially moving the power module externally ... the problem now is that the laptop doesnt seem to power up at all, neither does it charge the battery, i think there's nothing wrong with the mother board, as the laptop did power up through the battery.

Can someone please help me zero down on this issue?

Re: Compaq presario 2100

Why, oh why would you go doing something like that?

It is obvious that you did somethin wrong with psu. Your laptop isn't getting the power at all from it. Either you didn't connect it properly or you just plain tosted the psu.

Are you sure you connected ALL wires? (you stated "a wire" as a singular(!?))
