I hope somebody can help? My PCG-SR21K works fine via the ac adaptor however, following a battery failure I fitted a new battery which is showing as 100% fully charged. When I come to boot up nothing happens unless I plug in the mains adaptor, then if I unplug the adaptor the notebook dies.
It appears the power from the battery isn't going to the right place, although the power meter obviously can read the state of charge.
Tweaking the on-off switch lights up the battery indicator but once the machines up and running, this light stays extinguished.

Any ideas please
