Dell Inspiron 6000 Display problem

Expand Post »
Hi,

Just before I took my laptop out of its case intending to use it, and when I pressed the start button it booted up, I could hear everything, the backlight in the screen shown up, but I can't see anything.

The screen is just blank, although you can hear Windows booting. Anyone have any idea what's wrong?

thanks in advance.

Re: Dell Inspiron 6000 Display problem

That is pretty odd.try going into Bios F2 and look at you display settings if it has it.if not set Bios to default and reboot if it does the same try safe mode if it boots turn off hibernate and set to do nothing in the control panel - Display - screensaver - power settings.

You may also need to reinstall the graphics driver.

This sounds like the graphics controller itself might have blown
