Dell Inspiron 1150...Help!

Hi,
I need help with my Dell Inspiron 1150 Notebook. The computer will randomly lose power and shut off (note: it doesn't shut down, it just turns off). This sometimes happens over night even though the computer is plugged into an electrical outlet and I'm usually only running one program (AIM). Also, the computer sometimes shuts off while I am running iTunes. I'd appreciate any help y'all can offer.

i think it is overheating

I have an IBM laptop and when it gets too hot it just shuts off
