I have a fax modem in my new Vista Home PC. I've got hold of two different Fax programmes (in lieu of Vista Home having anything built in).
When I use either of them the number dials, but is not recognised by my 'phone company's system. I get a message saying "This number has not been recognised".
It's a cable connected phone system. But my normal house phones connect through it with no problem.
I've looked at the various setting. The ones that make sense all seem correct. My guess is that if there's anything its the "Providers" one that needs changing. But at that point Microsoft's limited help runs out. So I have no idea where to go next with it.
