Kingston USB Data Traveler not working

I have a 2 gig Kingston USB Data Traveler. My computer will assign 2 drives when you insert into the USB port, and when you try to access the flash it will say "Please Insert Disk." This will show up in other computers.

I did get it to show one time, but I took it out of the computer without utilizing Safely Remove Hardware; don't know if this messed up anything or not. Any ideas how I can straighten this out?
Thanks, Giddyup

Sorry, it is dead - you might be able to revive it but I would not hold my breath. The 'safely remove hardware' is just what it says it is - when you do not use it - you are not safely removing your hardware. It does not matter if it did not matter the first time or the the 1,000th time - learn from this experience.
