Mouse moves by itself

Expand Post »
Hi, I have a compaq presario 2500, running windows xp, an optical hp mouse and the mouse does what ever it wants, normally if I want to jump from window to window it won't go to the new window, it will desapear and go to the edges of the screen or the corners, I need to move it for a while to go where I want to go... can some one help me to find out what it is?

I ran antivirus and spyware and the computer is clean.

Thanks for all your help!

Re: Mouse moves by itself

I found the solution...

some red mouse pads dont work, if the surface you use is reflective just a bit, the optical sensor on the mouse wont know how to react. So my mouse was going crazy and did not do what I wanted to do.

You guys can close this threat... Thanks!
