Wireless mouse and keyboard problem.

My brother in law called me today and is having some problems with his new wireless keyboard and mouse. He installed a new monitor and now he keyboard and mouse won't work. He has tried the connect button but with no success. Any ideas what it could be?

i would recommend unplugging mouse and keyboard first
then uninstalling all current keyboard and mouse drivers then reinstall drivers after you plugged in the keyboard and mouse
make sure everything is connected and the box transmiting signal has its lights on

When he installed the new monitor maybe he bumped the keyboard and mouse's transmitter? Ask him to check and make sure the reciever/transmitter is properly plugged in.
