can anyone help me with where to pry and which screws i have to remove to get to cmos battery, i do all my own work on my pc's here at home but i never have opened a laptop..
oh by the way it is a dell latitude d610

hi pal,
the cmos battey will be attached to the motherboard, you need to pull the base apart. then look for either battery with red and black wires or if you dont see this, then the battery is soldered to the m/b. this is the normal way cmos batterys are in laptops. remove many screws.
