Wireless for the Google G1 Android Phone

I write to inquire about the current status of the TMobile Google G1 Android firmware 1.6 phone
The reset removed the wireless settings panel and replaced it with a series that include:
Name
APN
Proxy
Port
Username
Password
Server
MMSC
MMS Proxy
MMS Port
MCC
MNC
APN Type

The phone connected to the wireless router in my home with no issue. Looking to connect with someone who can advise me on some of the settings above... which are necessary.

Additionally, I have a USB connector for the phone so that I can possible get an internet connection share. Would seek guidance on that as well. Hoping for a reply from an informed party
