my acer aspire 3050 will only boot when it wants and it's really getting me quite down :-(
It shows the acer screen, then goes black and then sometimes has another go at startup by showing the white acer screen again but usually returns to a black screen again.
When it actually does boot up,everything seems to be working fine but booting up is becoming a real pain.
Hear's the strange thing,when i remove the small bios battery for a wee minute and put it back in- the laptop actually seems to boot up! - weird but i cannot be pulling out this little battery and re inserting it everytime i want to boot up my laptop?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as ive been bangin my head against a brick wall with this little annoyance!

hi,just a shot in the dark kind of , try putting a new bios battery in and see what happens
