I just wanted to know about where and what changes are made by an installing progrm to an OS , for instance if i install a antivirus software what internal changes it made to windows OS. Can i trace it.

There are a number of system monitoring tools. You can visit nirsoft.net and download regmon to monitor the registry for changes. Also, check out sysinternals.com for similar tools.
